A student leader of the 1960s once suggested that everybody in the world should be able to vote in the American presidential election since the United States profoundly affects the lives of everybody on the planet. So many international students have so many questions about the United States. This website collects my materials on American Studies and International Relations and provides links for further study. I hope it helps. We are just beginning to learn how to use the net to open up the world and open up minds.

The Power of Presidential Ideologies
In 1992 I published a study of how political
ideas influenced presidential policies from Franklin Roosevelt through the
first George Bush. I have updated and greatly expanded the original
version with new text, graphics, and links that make use of the power of
the internet as a research and educational tool.
